Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

SongFeel keeps only what it needs to work — your account, your taste settings, and your scored-song list. To analyze a song it sends only that song's title and artist to an AI service — never anything about you. It never sells your data, never tracks you for ads, never stores song lyrics, and never asks for your name, location, contacts, microphone, or photo library.

This policy explains what SongFeel collects, why, and the control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, reach us through the support page.

Who runs SongFeel

SongFeel is built and operated by Ivan Goy, an individual based in Alaska, USA — not a company. For privacy law, that's the person responsible for your data (the "data controller"). You can reach the operator any time through the support page.

What we collect

This information is stored in our backend (Supabase) and tied to your account so it syncs across your devices.

What we do not collect

How song analysis works (AI processing)

To work out what a song is about, SongFeel sends the song's title and artist — and nothing else — to an external AI service (a large language model), which returns an analysis of the song's themes and tone.

Subscriptions & payments

SongFeel offers an optional paid subscription. If you subscribe:

You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple ID settings. The full auto-renewal terms are in the Terms of Service.

Legal basis for processing

We process your information to provide the service you asked for — creating your account, saving your taste settings, and analyzing and storing the songs in your library — and, where the law requires it, with your consent. We never process your data for advertising, ad profiling, or sale. Withdraw consent or delete your account and we stop.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, your taste settings, and your scored-song library are removed. The anonymous song-analysis cache isn't tied to any user — it's keyed to songs, not people — so it isn't personal data and stays.

Your controls

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to access the data tied to your account, get an export (a copy) of it, correct anything that's wrong, delete your account and everything tied to it, and withdraw consent for the AI analysis. You can delete your account yourself using the controls above; for access, export, or correction, just ask through the support page and we'll take care of it.

If you're in the European Union or UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), these rights are guaranteed to you by law — and we honor the same rights for everyone, everywhere. We don't sell or "share" personal information as those laws define it, so there's nothing to opt out of.

Data security

Your password is encrypted, and your signed-in session is stored encrypted on your device. Data in our backend is protected by row-level security so your account can only read and write its own data.

Data sharing & selling

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure that makes the app work:

Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and none of them get your data for advertising.

Children

SongFeel is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
